DETAILED ITINERARY

08:30 – Hotel Pickup & Transfer

Meet your local guide at your hotel in Sa Pa. Transfer by vehicle toward the Muong Hoa Valley and the trekking starting point. Your guide will give you a short briefing about the route, walking conditions and the day’s experience.

09:00 – Start Trekking in Muong Hoa Valley

Begin trekking along local mountain trails with views over the Muong Hoa Valley. Walk through terraced rice fields and peaceful countryside while your guide introduces the landscape, local farming practices and village life.

10:30 – Explore Y Linh Ho Village

Arrive at Y Linh Ho Village, a Black H’Mong community in the Muong Hoa Valley. Take time to explore the village, observe traditional homes and daily life, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rice terraces.

11:30 – Trek from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai

Continue walking toward Lao Chai Village. The route passes through terraced fields, mountain paths and local residential areas. This section provides excellent opportunities for photography and cultural interaction.

12:30 – Local Lunch in Lao Chai

Stop at a local restaurant for a traditional Vietnamese lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients. Relax and enjoy the mountain atmosphere before continuing the afternoon trek.

13:30 – Trek to Ta Van Village

Continue trekking through the Muong Hoa Valley toward Ta Van. Walk beside the Muong Hoa Stream and through terraced fields, small paths and traditional village areas. Your guide will share information about local communities and their way of life.

15:30 – Discover Ta Van Village

Explore Ta Van Village, home to the Giay community. Discover traditional houses, village life and the peaceful scenery surrounding the valley. Enjoy free time for photos and a short rest.

16:15 – Transfer Back to Sa Pa

Finish the trekking route. A vehicle will meet the group in Ta Van and transfer you back to Sa Pa town.

17:00 – Arrive in Sa Pa

Arrive back at your hotel in Sa Pa. Free time to rest, shower and relax after the trek.

19:00 – Dinner

Enjoy dinner at a cozy local restaurant featuring traditional Vietnamese cuisine and warm local hospitality.

Night 1: Ha Noi - Sapa by the tourist sleeper bus

8:30 pm Ha Noi - Sapa by the tourist sleeper bus

At 8:30 pm transfer from your hotel to the Hanoi bus office for boarding at 9:15 pm. You will take single cabins sleeper bus to Sapa town. The next morning: The bus arrives in Sapa is at about 5:00 am where your Sapa Pathfinder Travel guide/driver will welcome you. Look for the "Sapa Pathfinder Travel" sign on your arrival, you will be transferred to the Sapa Pathfinder Travel office to freshen up, rest, and enjoy breakfast. then prepare for the trek as detailed below

Day 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho - Chai San - Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa - (B, L, D)

8:30 am

Our local guide will pick you up at your hotel in Sapa Town. After a short introduction about the trekking route, start walking down into the beautiful Muong Hoa Valley, one of the most stunning valleys in Sapa.

9:30 am

The first part of the trek takes you through mountain trails, rice terraces, and peaceful countryside landscapes. Arrive at Y Linh Ho Village, a small village of the Black H’mong ethnic people. Here you can discover the local culture, traditional wooden houses, and daily farming activities of the local families.

Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain range and endless rice terraces stretching across the valley.

11:00 am

Keep trekking along small village paths and scenic rice fields toward Chai San area. This quieter route offers beautiful landscapes, streams, buffalo trails, and opportunities to meet local people working on the terraces. Your guide will share more about the traditions, customs, and daily life of the ethnic communities living in the valley

12:00 am

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or family-run homestay in Chai San Village. Take a short rest while admiring the peaceful mountain scenery.

1:30 pm

After lunch, continue to Lao Chai Village, one of the largest villages in Muong Hoa Valley. Walk through rice terraces and narrow village roads surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. Depending on the season, you can see rice planting, cultivating, or golden rice fields ready for harvest.

2:30 pm

Continue trekking to Ta Van Village, home of the Giay ethnic minority people. Compared with the H’mong villages, Ta Van offers a different culture and traditional lifestyle. Enjoy your time in Muong Hoa riverside, suspension bridges, and valley view before transferring back to Sapa Town.
